Seeing & Entering the Kingdom of God

(The Operation of Kingdom of God is Within- Luke 17:20, Rom: 14:17; Col: 1:27 Mathew 11:12)

Jesus said it and He meant exactly what He said. “The kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21. The Greek preposition for “within” also translates, “inside of you.” The Kingdom of God is inside us. Given our previous definition of the Kingdom of God, we see it has to be this way. The Kingdom of God is the reign and rule of Christ in the hearts and lives of men. Understanding the importance of the internal, eternal, invisible, immortal, spiritual nature of the Kingdom of God abiding within us is crucial.

What, then, did Jesus mean by the statement, “The Kingdom of God is inside you?” The Bible teaches that we as individuals are three in one. We are a spirit with a soul in a body 1st Thess. 5:23. “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb. 4:12.

When we were born again, the Holy Spirit entered our spirits and quickened us to new life in Him. He is in us and we are in Him. John 15:1-8; 17:20-23. He resides within our spirits. He is Spirit and He communicates Spirit to spirit. The Kingdom of God is a reality that initially takes place within the spirit of man through the power-life of His Holy Spirit residing in us.

The Kingdom of God is FROM within us

Not only is the Kingdom of God within us, it also courses out from within us. I say “out from within us” for the sake of emphasis. It is an outward expression of an inner reality. We find, then, that the Kingdom of God is among us, within us, and goes out from within us. What is on the inside of man will display itself outwardly. The Kingdom of God is coming forth from within us in the manner in which Jesus pictured it to the Samaritan woman at the well: He explained that “Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again, but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14.

Later Jesus said, “He who believes on Me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38.

From these two scriptures, we see that the headwaters of this river is within each of us who believe. We read in Revelation 22 that John was shown “a pure river of water of life clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Can there be any doubt, based on these other words of Jesus, that this river flows out of us from where Jesus sits enthroned as King—He who is the water of Life? This river is an expression of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is from within us, flowing outward as a river. It is a river of life. Revelation 22:2-3 continues to tell us that “on either side of the river there was the tree of life, which bare twelve manners of fruits and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him.” The river is the very life and power of God that flows out of Jesus from His throne that is established within us.

Reflect on the poetic verse in Psalms 46:4, keeping in mind that the scriptures confirm that this river of life flows out of us. “There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.”

Joh 3:3-5 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (4)  Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”(5)  Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Col 1:12-13 Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.(13)  He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed[Translated] us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

The issue here is not about going to heaven when you die but about seeing into the operations and the structure of the kingdom here Now. You need a “from above” reality, not an earth-bound understandings or a flesh and blood reality.

To enter the Kingdom reality you need to the born of water and the Spirit. Simply put Water is a symbol of the Word washing our soul by the outworking of the SPIRIT unto regeneration, this is what Jesus does to prepare HIS BRIDE the Church – Ephesian  5;6, John 17:17.

Been aided by, or energized from the upper realm opens you up to vistas of heavenly realities which have to be apprehended and navigated in other to appropriate its benefits.

It is possible to see or sight the kingdom and not enter its reality, there are people who are understandable not far from the kingdom Mark 12:29-34, the kingdom of God has its rule, not all will qualify for the Kings domain.

Psa 45:6[KJV]   Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom   Psa 45:6[MSG] “Your throne is God’s throne, ever and always; The scepter of your royal rule measures right living.

Mat 13:44-46   “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. (45)  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,(46)  “who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

God imparts the revelation and the understanding of the Kingdom and its demand, entering the Kingdom reality will be a matter of choice, there is always a need for human action, placing value on the uncovered reality. There is a need to “buy the field” accurate and swift response is the key to entering and manifesting Kingdom reality on Earth.

Luke 9:57-62   Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.”(58)  And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”(59)  Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”(60)  Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”(61)  And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, BUT let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.”(62)  But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

The Need to make Self – Fit (I will follow You, But) Dealing with unresolved issues.

Mat 19:16-26   Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”(17)  So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”(18)  He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, ” ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,'(19) ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”(20)  The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”(21)  Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”(22)  But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.(23)  Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.(24)  “And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”(25)  When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”(26)  But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “with men this is impossible, BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.”

Mat 10:34-39  “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a SWORD see notes below. (35)  “For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;(36)  “and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.'(37)  “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. (38) “And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.(39)  “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Gen 3:22-24,  Eph  6 17   Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”;(23)  therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.(24)  So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

This is an indication of a declared war on any fleshly attempt of gaining access to Immortality and Eternal life, the sword is not a deterrence to gaining access to the Tree of LIFE,  it is to aid our access through the WORD as it is laid to our Soul severing and cutting away our SELFISH NESS / FLESHY-NESS for that which borne of the Spirit is spirit and the flesh is flesh, so our Psuche: Rational soul will have to be slain by the Machira of God, it is then an only then that we can walk in Kingdom reality On Earth.

Heb 4:11-12 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.(12)  For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Act 14:21-22    And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, (22)  strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

Sometimes it requires that our Peace be taken as God sends HIS SWORD into Our Soul-   Rev: 1:9, 2:9. We are indeed companions in tribulation, kingdom, and the patience of Jesus Christ.

[Gen. 45:5; 50:20, 21.] Joseph was not tried by his brothers, or Potiphar’s wife – he was staraph by the sword in other to bring forth the greater purpose of the Kingdom of God    (written and ordained destiny are not deliverance issues) the life  of Joseph and  that of Christ  provides insight for us into divine architecture of God dealings with Man

2nd Tim 3:12  Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

If you see the Kingdom and you appropriate its values, applying its principles to every aspect of your life, then you will ENTER its reality. The Kingdom of God will manifest itself through you. When we begin to walk in the reality of the kingdom, what begins to happen in our life is that we know of a certainly that ALL things work for our good.

Rom 14:17. For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in the Holy Spirit.
