Kingdom Mystics & Pioneers

Three decades ago just after my release from the Leadership of Christ Chapel Churches Lagos Nigeria as a missionary, I planted the first church which I also pastured, it was called Champions for Christ Missions. Having served the Body of Christ in various capacities as an evangelist, pastor, and apostolic prophet, I often see the struggle people go through in trying to introduce or refer to who I am in terms of how I function. But In spite of all the titles and the appellation attached to my person which is an indication of how I was received by the Body of Christ. I find it needful to say that what is important in this third day of the Lord is not necessarily that we are inundated with titles and appellations but that we fully grasp how the Lord who has apprehended us wants us to be rather than how the people perceive and receive you.

I see myself more as a spiritual pioneer and a mystic, I say this with all authority because I bear the reproach of one, and because I am not a pastor in the sense of how we know and do church today. I find my identity first in Christ, and the pioneering dimension of grace manifested through John the Baptist.

Kingdom Mystics and spiritual pioneers are only recognize when they are gone, that was why Jesus had to ask the multitudes concerning John “WHAT DID YOU GO OUT INTO THE WILDERNESS TO SEE?

If we are going to receive all that God has for us today there is a need for a change of perception concerning how we see , identify and receive those who God is raising up as darkness cover the earth and gross darkness the people .

Mathew 11:7-12. As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: “WHAT DID YOU GO OUT INTO THE WILDERNESS TO SEE? A reed shaken by the wind? (8) “But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. (9) “But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. (10) “For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’ (11) ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, AMONG THOSE BORN OF WOMEN THERE HAS NOT RISEN ONE GREATER THAN JOHN THE BAPTIST; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (12) “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

In the day JOHN walked the earth “there was none greater”? He was the voice that introduced the Son of God in the most momentous Move of God that had ever come to earth. And he was that voice because he had heard the call, and dared to believe and to climb God’s highest mountain for his day. Glory to God!

Jesus in saying there was none greater than John the Baptist, was indicating that JOHN was the beginning of an era and as such had no one to follow, no one to show him the way. THIS WAS A LEADERSHIP OF THE SPIRIT. He could not follow his father, much as he loved him, for Zacharias was trapped in the old order. But “bearing His reproach” John went outside the gates, oblivious to what others might think of him. Hearing only the voice of Him that spoke from Heaven. And John reached a height in God no one had ever come to. John walked contrary to 2000 years of historical understandings. Priesthoods and sacrifices which were given by GOD will instantaneously become invalid at John’s declaration. He is not clothed in soft clothing, he does not operate in comfortable user friendly anointing. John was a mystic dressed in a strange attire not presentable on any social media platform of his day, he is not courting attention and popularity, the desert has condition both his diet and appearance.

The Church today is at the threshold of a new move of God, similar to the events that characterizes the birth of John, and God is releasing to the earth kingdom mystics and spiritual pioneers. Like Zechariah (Luke 1: 59-67), the fathers are mute, they can’t figure out what is going on, but if they align correctly with God and accept the naming of that which God is bringing forth their utterance and influence shall be restored.

There is a generation rising in the Church today who are working contrary to the expectations of the fathers and church as we know it, men whose power of navigation is divine and spiritual, not according to traditions of men and that of the church. Mystics, and an awakened generation of ancient men in a modern world, in them the mantles of Elijah, Moses, Enoch , John and other witnesses who have passed on is merged into one seamless flow .

While others feasted and played church, they fasted and prayed until they broke into a new realm in God that the church had never come to before…….TO BE CONTINUED
